Canadian Bitumen Exports to U.S. Are Challenged by Labor Union

A Canadian labor union protested a government decision allowing exports of unprocessed bitumen from Alberta's oil sands to the U.S.
The National Energy Board's approvals of the pipeline shipments ``undermine our energy security and make Canada's tar sands little more than a giant open pit to extract bitumen on behalf of American refineries,'' Dave Coles, national president of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, said in a statement today on CNW Telbec...click to continue
