The Center for Worker Freedom (CWF) is proud to announce its support of the efforts of county officials in Kentucky to pass local right-to-work ordinances.

Multiple Kentucky counties have passed right-to-work in the last two months, including Warren, Todd, Fulton, Simpson, Harden and Cumberland Counties, and many more are poised to follow.

Elected officials always look for ways to make their cities and counties more economically competitive. And businesses look for a variety of factors when deciding where to locate or open new facilities.

One of those factors is right-to-work.

The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) provides that states may pass laws, commonly known as right-to-work, which forbid the compulsory collection of union dues. In the 24 states that have passed such laws, both employers and employees enjoy a freer and more flexible labor market.

Bluegrass State Experimenting with Local Right-to-Work

America boasts of being the land of the free. 

But is it?  For workers in non-right-to-work states, freedom only stretches so far.

The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) allows state legislatures to pass right-to-work laws which give workers the freedom to opt-out of paying union dues.  Unfortunately, only 24 states have passed such laws.
