Oregon: Former Labor Leader Pleads Guilty to Forgery
According to the Oregonian:
A former TriMet labor leader pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Portland to one count of forgery in connection with the thefts of more than $450,000 in union benefit funds.
Thomas V. Wallace, 50, of Wamic admitted forging checks drawn on bank accounts controlled by Local 757 of the Amalgamated Transit Union, said Lance Caldwell, with the U.S. Department of Justice's district office for Oregon.
