Uber drivers in Los Angeles are the newest target for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 986. Drivers who were frustrated with the company’s lack of communication have asked for the assistance from the union. In a press release by PR Newsire it was reported that:

“Uber Technology recently advised its Uber Black and Uber SUV drivers that vehicle models under 2010 would be pulled from the platform, while only giving the drivers two weeks to purchase newer vehicles….. Drivers are frustrated that other Uber markets have given their drivers months to plan for the transition, not just two weeks.”
