Dolores Huerta has been on the receiving end of some bad press lately. Huerta, the "Dragon Lady" of the grape-grower’s strike of 1965-1970 and co-founder of the United Farm Workers (UFW), was caught on film bullying a female farmworker.

On June 24th, Dolores Huerta was videotaped bullying a female worker who is leading the fight to decertify the union Huerta helped found, the United Farm Workers.

Silvia Lopez, the farmworker who is seen being shoved by Huerta was invited into a party by a representative from Governor Jerry Brown’s staff.

Recently, the Sacramento Bee reported on a CWF exclusive video showing UFW co-founder Dolores Huerta bullying a farm worker. 

The Sacramento Bee described the incident involving Huerta and farmworker Silvia Lopez by saying:

“Grainy footage shot during a party last month appears to show United Farm Workers co-founder Dolores Huerta blocking another invited guest – and political opponent – from access to Gov. Jerry Brown.”

The Center for Worker Freedom’s Matt Patterson wrote an article on July 17 in Forbes, highlighting a CWF exclusive video showing Dolores Huerta, the UFW co-founder, bullying a female worker. 

When the supposed champion of workers was asked why she was repeatedly shoving worker Silvia Lopez, she answered, “she knows why.” Patterson explains what Huerta intended by way of that comment:
